Oil Tanker Catches Fire After Hitting Mines in Hormuz
TEHRAN -- Iran’s Army Navy said another oil tanker caught fire after striking naval mines in an unauthorized, unsafe area east of the Strait of Hormuz, despite warnings.
It said Iran’s policy of managing the Strait remains unchanged despite U.S. claims, urging vessels to observe restrictions and keep tracking systems on. UKMTO reported traffic through the Strait remains 70 percent below pre-war levels.
