Quadrilateral Talks Indicate a Good Beginning

It was indeed a good start for diplomacy. Four leading countries of the region conveyed a quadrilateral meeting in Tehran for preserving the peace and stability of the region.
It was hosted by the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council General Mohsen Rezaei and attended by Prince Khalid bin Salman, the Defence Minister of Saudi Arabia, Field Marshal Asim Munir of Pakistan, and Ibram Kalin, the head of the Turkish Intelligence Service.
This is yet another proof of Iran’s good intention and its appreciation by the regional countries, especially the participants.
Last week, a meeting of eight countries was held in Istanbul, where besides Pakistan and Saudi Arabia senior officials of Germany and the UK were also present.
They strongly opposed the US and Israeli threats against Iran, saying that another round of war would be catastrophic for all sides.
Iran always strives for dialogue and diplomacy to defuse the crises, but at the same time is fully prepared to decisively counter any new aggression with its state-of-the-art conventional weapons, which are more than match for the much publicized armaments of the enemies.
The US is a rank outsider and has no right to be in our region. This is a reality the regional countries are beginning to realise.
Any miscalculation on any front whether it is the Strait of Hormuz, whether it is southern Lebanon or whether it is Yemen, would be disastrous.
Whatever problems confronting any country should be resolved through talks and respect for the rights of other parties, instead of interfering in the internal affairs of any state and siding with any group.
It is hoped the war between Saudi Arabia and Yemen would end through negotiations on the diplomatic tables.
The real enemy of the Muslim world is without the least doubt the illegal Zionist entity, and it is the duty of the leading countries of the region to coordinate views and co-operate with each other for confronting this cancerous tumor.
Any leniency in this regard is detrimental not just for the regional countries but all the Muslim world.
In view of these undeniable facts the Islamic Republic of Iran is fully convinced that the awakening of the nations, especially the leading countries of the region such as those participating in Monday’s Tehran meeting, will throw cold water on the devilish designs of Donald Trump and his comrade-in-crimes against humanity the child killer Benjamin Netanyahu.
