Tehran – Iran’s Esteghlal football club will meet UAE’s Shabab Al-Ahli in the third week of the AFC Champions League Elite group stage on Tuesday in Dubai.
The AFC Champions League Elite is becoming increasingly compelling with each passing week, hosting high-stakes encounters. For instance, tomorrow (Tuesday), two teams that emerged victorious in their previous two matches are set to face off.
The Blues, representing Iran—having delivered impressive performances and secured two valuable wins against Qatari Al-Sadd and Al-Gharafa—will face the UAE’s Shabab Al-Ahli on Tuesday.
The Shabab Al-Ahli side has also secured two valuable victories—against Tractor and Al-Ittihad—proving themselves to be a formidable and tough opponent.
To overcome Esteghlal and reach nine points, the Emirati side’s head coach is banking on the brilliance of his Iranian players: Saeid Ezatolahi in the midfield, and Sardar Azmoun, who is tasked with scoring goals.
