TEL AVIV (Dispatches) -- Gadi Eisenkot’s opposition bloc leads Netanyahu’s coalition in Hebrew polls published October 19-20, a week before Israel’s general elections, but neither side commands the 61-seat majority needed to form a cabinet.
Channel 12 puts Eisenkot’s bloc at 55 seats to Netanyahu’s 51; Channel 13 shows 51 to 50. Trump’s endorsement of Netanyahu as a “warrior” has not closed the gap.
