Commander Vows  ‘Decisive” Response to Any Sabotage on Borders

TEHRAN -- The deputy commander of Iran’s Border Police, Brigadier General Hassan Asadollahi, said on Saturday that border guards would not permit any “sabotage” in their area of responsibility, emphasizing close monitoring of border movements during an inspection of units in Marivan, western Iran.
Asadollahi visited subordinate units of the Marivan Border Regiment to assess combat readiness, equipment and operational performance. He met personnel face-to-face and stressed the need for heightened vigilance, precise monitoring of border activity and timely analysis of observations.
Citing the strategic sensitivity of Iran’s western borders, Asadollahi said: “The zealous border guards of the Islamic Republic of Iran, relying on faith, commitment and advanced equipment, stand decisively against any insecurity.”
He praised the “devoted and sincere efforts” of the defenders of the homeland and described service in the Border Police as “a lasting success and a document of honor.”
