At Last, A Deserving Winner of the Nobel Peace Prize

The Nobel Peace Prize, after years of politicization that saw undeserving persons, and at times openly anti-Islamic and anti-Iran elements, receiving it for the venom they spit, seems to have got on the track this time by going to an honest judge of the International Criminal Court (ICC), to the chagrin of a bloodthirsty terrorist who coveted it.
Navi Pillay, the South African former UN human rights chief, earned this year’s prize for being “instrumental in ensuring war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide are prosecuted.”
A dedicated woman of Indian Tamil origin, she was surprised for her selection by the Nobel committee chair Jørgen Watne Frydnes, but nonetheless reiterated that for the sake of peace, the major war criminals be identified and punished.
Her impartial role at the UN and sister agencies in identifying terrorists and calling for their punishment, if applauded by the victims of war and violence, has angered notorious terrorists and perpetrators of genocide.
Donald Trump the dastardly dotard who has disturbed the peace of the world, but shamelessly craves for the peace prize, ridiculed the ICC, while his comrades in crimes against humanity, the genocidal Benjamin Netanyahu, poured scorn over Navi Pillay.
Pillay has the humour. She joked of sharing the Nobel Peace Prize with Trump if the audience that she was addressing could clap more – resulting in deafening applause, to the chagrin of the mass murderer in Washington.
The South African Lady deserves more than the Nobel Peace Prize. We all remember the ICC arrest warrants issued in 2024 for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the then War Minister Yoav Gallant.
She previously chaired a UN commission that concluded Israel had committed genocide in Gaza. A courageous woman indeed, unafraid of western pressures.
On winning the Nobel Peace Prize, she proudly recalled, “The last thing I did is the delivery of the report on Gaza, naming what’s happening there as genocide.”
We hope the day will soon come when not just warrants are issued against the enemies of humanity and deserving judges honoured, but the war criminals practically punished, whether it is the US president or the ringleader of the illegal Zionist entity.
