BAGHDAD (Dispatches) – Daesh terrorists attacked an Iraqi Army position in the village of Burghliya, in the Dananish area of Hawija district, early Saturday morning.
Security forces had prepared an ambush along the terrorists’ withdrawal route, leading to a fierce clash in which Daesh terrorists suffered fatalities before fleeing. The incident marked the third armed attack in the same area within a week. The attacks have raised concerns over Daesh sleeper cells exploiting difficult terrain and security gaps.
