President Pezeshkian Urges New Ambassadors to Carry Message of Brotherhood, Unity

TEHRAN - President Masoud Pezeshkian has urged the country’s newly appointed ambassadors to promote brotherhood, friendship, and unity while defending national interests and expanding multilateral ties with their host countries.
Pezeshkian made the remarks on Tuesday during a ceremony to introduce and bid farewell to Iran’s new ambassadors to the United Arab Emirates, Greece, Italy, Uganda, and Senegal.
“I hope you have a good journey ahead and properly carry out your missions in the direction of defending national interests and expanding multilateral relations, particularly in the economic field,” he said.
The president tasked the ambassadors with creating an environment conducive to strengthening multilateral relations and expanding scientific, cultural, economic, sports, and artistic exchanges with the countries.
Referring to Quranic verses and Islamic traditions, Pezeshkian highlighted the need for friendship and Islamic solidarity, calling on all countries to work to strengthen friendship and avoid tensions and disputes.
“Based on the verses and traditions, we are all Muslim countries and neighbors, members of one community and one hand; therefore, you dear ones should carry the message of brotherhood, friendship and unity,” he said.
Pezeshkian said stronger cooperation with regional and neighboring countries could pave the way for a joint Islamic parliament, which he said would contribute to the progress and development of Muslim societies and help establish security in the region.
He also described Islamic unity and solidarity as essential in the face of the hostilities of the Israeli regime, stressing the need to avoid religious disputes and expand Islamic cohesion across the region.
The new ambassadors introduced at the ceremony were Hamidreza Dehghani to the UAE, Mahmoud Heydari to Greece, Ali Akbar Rezaei to Italy, Reza Nourian to Uganda and Hamid Moradkhani to Senegal. They outlined their respective missions and strategies for expanding multilateral relations and cooperation.
On Monday, during a meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, President Pezeshkian called for the expansion of Tehran-Yerevan relations in trade, science, culture and technology, describing the Armenian community in Iran as a respected and trustworthy asset for strengthening ties between the two countries.
The Iranian president said Iran and Armenia should build on their longstanding friendly relations by expanding bilateral cooperation in various fields. He also referred to his recent meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in New York on the sidelines of the

81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, describing it as constructive.
Pezeshkian also addressed regional developments and Iran’s disputes with the United States, saying Washington had repeatedly launched attacks against Iran following negotiations. He argued that the U.S. is seeking to undermine the Islamic Republic rather than pursue genuine dialogue.
He said Iran has repeatedly demonstrated the peaceful nature of its nuclear activities and had accepted extensive monitoring by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Iran, he added, remains prepared for negotiations and verification, but questioned the safety of allowing international inspectors access to its nuclear facilities when Iranian nuclear sites and scientists were subsequently targeted.
The Iranian president also condemned the U.S. attack on an elementary school in Minab, which killed 168 children, saying Washington had failed to provide an explanation for the incident while continuing to raise human-rights issues. He said negotiations are difficult with an adversary that repeatedly resorts to sanctions, threats, pressure and attacks while failing to honor agreements.
Pezeshkian stressed that Iran would continue strengthening relations with neighboring countries and work to withstand external pressure, saying the U.S. attack had instead resulted in greater cohesion among the Iranian people.
Mirzoyan, for his part, conveyed warm greetings from Prime Minister Pashinyan and said Armenia-Iran friendship and relations were growing stronger by the day. He said bilateral cooperation is continuing at the international level despite sanctions and stressed Yerevan’s commitment to expanding engagement with Tehran.
