World Teachers’ Day
Salaam dear young friends, how are you? Hope you are all doing well by the grace of Almighty Lord.
Every year on October 5, people all over the world celebrate World Teachers’ Day to honor and thank teachers for their hard work and guidance. Teachers are like bright lamps who show us the path of knowledge and goodness.
In Islam, teachers hold a very special and respected place. The first word revealed to Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) was “Iqra” — which means “Read.” This shows how important learning and teaching are in Islam. The Prophet (SAWA) himself was the greatest teacher of all. He taught people about Allah, kindness, honesty, and justice.
The Prophet (SAWA) said: “The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”
Islam teaches us to respect and obey our teachers, just as we respect our parents. Teachers help us understand the world and guide us to become good Muslims and good human beings. They spend their time and energy to make sure we learn what is right and stay away from what is wrong.
On World Teachers’ Day, we should thank our teachers, make dua for them, and try to follow their advice. A simple “thank you” or a small act of kindness can make a teacher very happy.
Let us remember that in Islam, seeking knowledge and respecting our teachers are acts that please Allah.
God bless you and goodbye until we meet again next week.
