Iran’s Volleyball Team Among 32 Teams for 2027 World Cup

TEHRAN - The final list of the 32 teams participating in the 2027 Men’s Volleyball World Cup has been confirmed, with the Iranian national team included among the squads set to compete for the world title in Poland in 2027.
The 2027 tournament marks the first time the competition has undergone a name change. The FIVB has announced that, starting in 2027, the World Championship will be held under the title ‘FIVB Volleyball World Cup’. This renaming is part of structural changes to the tournament that began with the 2025 edition.
Poland will host the Men’s World Championship for the third time in history, with the 2027 matches taking place across five of the country’s cities.
The host cities will be Gdańsk, Katowice, Łódź, Olsztyn, and Kraków, with the semi-finals and medal matches scheduled to be held in Kraków.
The tournament is set for September 2027, featuring 32 teams competing under the event’s new format.
