Pezeshkian Hails Police Sacrifices During Terrorist Wars
TEHRAN – President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Sunday that supporting the country’s military and law enforcement forces in carrying out their legal missions is a duty and an honor for the government, calling for stronger equipment, modern technology and improved living conditions for personnel.
Pezeshkian made the remarks in a message marking Police Week, saying that more than 500 police personnel were martyred during two imposed and brutal wars, describing their martyrdoms as clear proof of the force’s sense of responsibility and sacrifice.

He described the experience of the 12-day and 40-day terrorist wars as a clear display of the police’s responsibility and sacrifice alongside other forces.
At a time when police centers were among the enemy’s main targets and under constant attack, he said, personnel continued multiple simultaneous missions to maintain public order, secure the people, control movement, counter social harm, protect sensitive centers and aid the injured.
