Leader’s Advisor: Iran’s Resilience Has Shocked the World

TEHRAN -- The world has expressed astonishment at Iran’s level of resilience, a senior adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution said on Monday, stressing that the country’s capacity under pressure is far greater than its enemies imagine.
Muhammad Mokhber, adviser and assistant to the Leader, told a meeting of young Iranian elites that Iran’s resistance in recent months has destroyed years of American investment in regional and global hegemony.
“The world today has expressed astonishment at Iran’s level of resilience, and this resilience shows that the country’s capacities in difficult conditions are far greater than what the enemy imagines,” Mokhber said.
He said Washington had spent years building that hegemony, “but Iran’s resistance in recent months destroyed many of these equations and showed that seemingly solid structures can be changed.”
Mokhber, a member of the Expediency Council, said the recent war has proven one important reality: “knots can be untied.”
Addressing the country’s elite, he said: “Today every elite must ask himself: where am I in this country? What is my set of problems, and which knot can I untie? What is my capacity? What is the country’s capacity? What action must I take?”
He said it was then up to the state to support them and create the ground for their ideas and abilities to bear fruit.
He stressed that Iran is a wealthy country, and that combining elite talent with natural resources and geopolitical capacity could deliver a “superpower triangle” - provided there is effort, orderly work and continuity.
“Today, just Iran’s Strait of Hormuz alone has influenced the world,” Mokhber said. “So the country’s capacities must be recognized and there must be a plan to turn them into power and added value, and the enemy must know that Iran still has important cards it has not played.”
He urged the elite to move toward solving the country’s problems and to launch a popular problem-solving movement, warning against letting elite
capacity stall inside narrow administrative frameworks.
Mokhber also said that taking a government job is not necessarily the best path for an elite to have an impact, and that in some cases a government post can reduce their real capacity to solve the country’s problems.
He advised raising productivity, saying it would both fix part of the country’s work and create wealth for the individual.
“I am certain you can do great things, on condition that you are together and combine your capacities,” he said.
More than 20 of the country’s elites in artificial intelligence, communications, economics, medicine, modern technologies and the humanities presented their views, problems and proposals at the meeting.
