TEHRAN - Iran’s table tennis player Noshad Alamian has advanced to the semifinals of the Asian Games by defeating the world number four from Japan.
The quarterfinals of the individual table tennis competition at the 20th Asian Games took place on Saturday at the Sky Toyota Arena in Nagoya, Japan. 
Noshad Alamian faced the host nation’s Tomokazu Harimoto and secured a 4–1 victory.
 Alamian managed to defeat his opponent, thereby advancing to the semifinals and securing a bronze medal.
