TEHRAN - Iran has inaugurated 281 kilometers of highways and main roads in south east of province, Sistan and Baluchestan.
In a ceremony and in presence of Iran Rad Minister Farzaneh Saedgh, 134 kilometers are located in the south of the province, 89 kilometers in the north, and 58 kilometers along the North-South Corridor and the province’s coastal routes were inaugurated.
The Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development, emphasized that the inauguration of transport infrastructure is not merely a construction project; he stated that the commissioning of these 281 kilometers of main roads and highways bolsters the province’s economic strength and security.
Houshang Bazvand, while commemorating “Sacred Defense Week,” expressed appreciation for the Minister of Roads and Urban Development’s focus on developing transport infrastructure in the province.
Highlighting the potential of Sistan and Baluchestan, he noted that thanks to the measures taken and the follow-up efforts of the provincial governor, the region can no longer be considered remote; instead, it has transformed into a key economic and commercial gateway for the country.
