TASHKENT (UzDaily.uz) — The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan has discussed practical steps to develop bilateral business cooperation with a delegation from Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture. 
Particular attention was given to implementing agreements reached at an agricultural business forum held the previous day, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan said on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Sherzod Ibragimov and Adviser to the Chairman Alisher Shaykhov. The Iranian delegation was led by Hussein Moazzen, Deputy Chairman of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture.
The participants considered prospects for further developing trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries. They also discussed expanding cooperation in agriculture and developing interregional business ties.
The parties reviewed the results of the Uzbekistan-Iran business forum on agricultural cooperation held the previous day. Particular attention was given to implementing the tasks set out in a memorandum of cooperation signed during the forum.
Representatives of the two chambers exchanged views on organizing reciprocal visits by business delegations and holding regular B2B meetings. They also discussed further strengthening institutional cooperation between the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries and expanding direct contacts between entrepreneurs.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to give practical substance to the agreements reached and step up business cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran.
