Three Palestinians Killed, 30 Abducted, Settlers Run Amok
GAZA/OCCUPIED WEST BANK (Dispatches) — Israeli forces killed at least two Palestinians in Gaza and one in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, in a continuing wave of atrocities that also saw settlers assault an elderly couple near Bethlehem and troops conduct mass arrest raids across the territory.
In Gaza, 65-year-old Saleh Ramadan al-Dabour was shot dead by Israeli gunfire targeting the Halawa camp area of Jabalia refugee camp on Tuesday morning. Israeli forces opened “indiscriminate fire” toward the camp and surrounding areas, critically wounding al-Dabour, who was taken to al-Awda Hospital where he later died.
Separately, a Palestinian was injured in an Israeli drone strike near the 17th roundabout southwest of Gaza City and later died of his wounds. Gaza hospitals received three bodies and 27 wounded in the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll since the October 2025 ceasefire to at least 1,372 Palestinians killed.
In the West Bank city of al-Bireh, Israeli forces shot dead 54-year-old Ziad Muhammad Jaber during a pre-dawn raid on his home in the Umm al-Sharayet neighborhood on Tuesday.
According to the Palestinian health ministry, Jaber was shot in the abdomen and thigh. Red Crescent paramedics performed CPR at the scene before transporting him to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Jaber’s brother told media that Israeli special forces blew up the apartment door and opened fire immediately. “A minute later I heard my brother screaming,” he said. “They executed my brother. He was not wanted. He did nothing.”
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club said Israeli forces kidnapped at least 30 Palestinians across the West Bank and Al-Quds between Monday night and Tuesday morning, describing it as part of a campaign that has turned routine detention raids into “sites of field executions.”
In the village of Abu Anjeem, southeast of Bethlehem, settlers assaulted an elderly man, Abu Ramzi Khalif, and his wife in their home early Tuesday, causing bruises across their bodies.
In the village of Beit Iksa, northwest of Al-Quds, settlers established a new illegal settlement outpost under Israeli military protection — the second in four months.
In the Yatta area south of Hebron (Al-Khalil), settlers cut and burned electricity cables, blacking out the entire Wadi al-Rahim area and forcing a Palestinian family to flee their home.
The UN has documented more than 1,540 settler attacks across the West Bank between the start of 2026 and the end of August.
