Iranian Merchant Ship Struck Near Hormuz, One Martyred
TEHRAN -- At least one person was killed and four others were injured after an underwater missile struck an Iranian commercial vessel sailing in Persian Gulf waters off the coast of Qeshm Island, near the Strait of Hormuz, the island’s governor said on Sunday.
Governor of Qeshm Island Hussein Amir-Teymouri said a projectile fired by the “American-Zionist enemy” struck the merchant cargo ship in proximity to the small Hengam Island and Shib Deraz fishing village.
