11 Iranian Track and Field Athletes to Compete at Nagoya Asian Games
TEHARN - Eleven Iranian track and field athletes have been selected to compete in the 20th Asian Games, scheduled for Aichi-Nagoya 2026.
The 20th Asian Games will be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from September 19 to October 4, 2026.
Accordingly, Iran’s track and field delegation will participate in the games with 11 athletes—seven men and four women. The list of athletes representing Iran is as follows:
Men:
MUhammad Reza Tayebi – Shot Put
Hassan Ajami – Shot Put
Ali Amirian – 800m
Sadegh Samimi – Discus Throw
HUssein Nouri – 1500m
Hassan Taftian – 100m
Benyamin Yousefi – 100m and 200m
Women:
Zahra Salehi – 200m and 400m
Fatemeh Mohitizadeh – Heptathlon
Reyhaneh Mobini – Long Jump
Maryam Kazemi – Triple Jump
These athletes were listed to the final roster for the Nagoya Asian Games following more than 18 months of training camps and participation in various competitions, including Grand Prix events, in-camp record trials, international competitions in Belarus, and the National Championships in Shiraz.
