U.S. Sanctions 14 Individuals, Five Entities Linked to Iran
TEHRAN – The U.S. Treasury Department has imposed new sanctions on 14 individuals and five entities over their alleged links to Iran and Hezbollah.
The Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) said Thursday evening that it had added the names of 14 individuals and five entities to the U.S. sanctions list.
According to the department, the sanctioned individuals and entities operate in Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates and are linked to the Islamic Republic of Iran and Hezbollah Lebanon.
The move comes as part of Washington’s continued sanctions campaign against Iran and networks it says are associated with the country.
