Foolad Sirjan Volleyball Team Learns Rivals in Club World Championship
TEHRAN - The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has announced the eight participating teams for the 2026 Men’s Club World Championship as Iran’s Foolad Sirjan has secured a spot among the world’s elite clubs as the Iranian representative.
The Men’s Club World Championship — a tournament featuring representatives from four continents, to be held in Poland.
Foolad Sirjan advanced to the final of the 2026 Asian Men’s Club Championship and earned a berth in the global tournament.
The Iranian team faced Indonesia’s Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi in the final match; securing the Asian silver medal qualified them for the world’s premier club competition.
Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi also qualified for the tournament as the Asian champion. By winning the continental title, the team became the first Indonesian men’s club to claim the Asian championship and will make its debut appearance at the Club World Championship.
From Europe, Italy’s Sir Susa Vim Perugia—the 2025–2026 European Champions League winner and defending Club World Champion—will be a top contender. Perugia, aiming for its fourth Club World Championship title, boasts stars such as Oleh Plotnytskyi and Simone Giannelli in its lineup.
