TEHRAN — Iran has extended registration for the 16th Standard Persian Language Proficiency Assessment (SAMFA) and postponed the 2026 examination by three weeks, the National Organization for Educational Testing announced Monday.
Applicants wishing to take the academic-level Persian language examination now have until September 23, 2026, to register. Candidates who have already registered may also revise their information by the same deadline.
The examination, originally scheduled for September 18, has been rescheduled for October 9, according to the latest announcement. Applicants were advised to review the registration guidelines before completing or amending their registration through the National Organization for Educational Testing’s website.
SAMFA, the Standard Persian Language Proficiency Assessment, evaluates candidates’ academic Persian-language abilities in four areas: listening, reading, writing and speaking.
The 2026 examination is scheduled to take place simultaneously in qualifying testing centers inside Iran and abroad, provided sufficient numbers of applicants are registered.
