TEHRAN — Iran’s Oil Ministry is mobilizing all available capacity in gas and liquid fuel production to ensure a stable winter fuel supply, the oil minister said.
Speaking on the sidelines of a meeting of the task force on energy imbalances Monday, Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad said his ministry, through the efforts of its colleagues across the oil industry, is deploying all available resources toward producing gas and liquid fuel, particularly diesel.
Paknejad said part of that capacity would gradually increase as previously lost production is restored. He added that he hoped the ministry could deliver maximum output during the coldest days of winter, when the country typically faces the most acute strain in one of the year’s coldest months.
