TEHRAN — The closing ceremony of the 10th Firoozeh Award will be held on Sept. 15 at Tehran’s Azadi Cultural and Artistic Complex, bringing together cultural officials, judges, artists, creative-industry practitioners and finalists.
The annual award seeks to identify, support and promote leading work in Iran’s cultural and creative industries, with entries from provinces across the country assessed in a range of fields.
Winners in the various categories will be announced and selected creators honored at the ceremony, while several provincial secretariats that have played a prominent role in organizing, developing and promoting the award will also be recognized.
Alireza Nourizadeh, director general of cultural institutions and guilds, said the Firoozeh Award aims not only to identify and recognize outstanding works but also to highlight the country’s creative cultural potential, support producers and practitioners, and help expand markets for cultural and creative products.
“The broad participation of the provinces and the diversity of works submitted to the secretariat demonstrate the considerable potential that exists across the country in the field of cultural industries,” Nourizadeh said, adding that identifying and promoting these capacities could strengthen the cultural economy, develop creative businesses and expand the presence of Iranian cultural products in the market.
A parallel exhibition featuring selected works from previous editions of the Firoozeh Award will open at the Azadi complex alongside the closing ceremony. The exhibition will bring together a selection of notable and award-winning works from past editions, providing a platform for artists, designers and cultural-product producers while highlighting the award’s achievements over the years.
The 10th edition was held with participation from provinces across Iran and focused on identifying and supporting innovative and creative cultural products.
The closing ceremony is scheduled for Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. to noon at Tehran’s Azadi Cultural and Artistic Complex.
