TEHRAN -- More than 100 Iranian clothing producers will come together in Tehran this month for the 10th Hoda Iranian Islamic Clothing Exhibition, an event that places modest fashion, family clothing and local production at the center of a 10-day showcase.
Held at Imam Khomeini Mosalla from Sept. 8 to 18, the exhibition will bring together clothing for women, men and children, alongside a range of programs designed to make the event as much a family gathering as a retail experience.
Hamidreza Omidi, director of the Hoda exhibition and managing director of the Association of Activists and Specialists in the Country’s Hijab Sector, said the event would continue efforts to support businesses affected by the “Ramadan war” while also helping ease pressure on household economies.
More than 100 producers and other participants from Iran’s clothing sector will present their products, with visitors able to purchase data-x-items at discounts of at least 10 percent. Installment-payment options will also be available.
The exhibition reflects the breadth of Iran’s domestic modest-clothing market, with collections and products spanning the needs of the entire family rather than focusing exclusively on womenswear. Organizers have also sought to create an environment in which shopping sits alongside entertainment and family activities, with recreational facilities planned for children.
The program extends beyond clothing sales. A free tailoring service and a “See Yourself with Hijab” section will be among the exhibition’s additional features, while girls wearing hijab for the first time will receive gifts.
For the organizers, the exhibition is both a platform for Iranian-Islamic clothing producers and a way of connecting fashion with the everyday life of families. Its emphasis on domestic production, accessible prices and clothing for different generations places the event within a broader conversation about how Iranian modest fashion is produced, presented and worn.
The 10th Hoda Iranian Islamic Clothing Exhibition will be open daily from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the main hall of Imam Khomeini Mosalla in Tehran from Sept. 8 through Sept. 18.
