‘Desperate Move’: U.S., E3 Push to Refer Iran to Security Council
TEHRAN -- Iran said Friday a planned resolution by the U.S. and European troika at the IAEA Board of Governors is a “desperate” move that exposes the failure of the snapback mechanism.
Iran’s UN mission in Vienna said the U.S. and E3 — Britain, France and Germany — intend to submit a resolution next week, referring Iran’s nuclear issue to the UN Security Council for the first time in 20 years. Tehran described the move as desperate and a sign of failure.
