Salaam dear young friends, and congratulations to you on a series of happy occasions; some of which we celebrated over the past two days and are all set to mark the rest in the coming days.
Yes, youngsters, two days ago was the auspicious anniversary of the nuptials of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) and the First Lady of Islam, Hazrat Khadija al-Kubra (SA). It was a marriage made in heaven, at a time when the poor parentless son of Abdullah and Amena, had not yet been entrusted with the universal mission of Islam, as the Almighty’s Last and Greatest Messenger.
This blessed union of the two monotheists in a Mecca steeped in idolatry was so fruitful that till this day the progeny of the peerless pair, the Saadaat (plural of Seyyed) continue to command respect throughout the Muslim World as offspring of the Infallible Daughter Fatema az-Zahra (SA), whom God has called “Kowthar” or the Fountain of Perennial Abundance in the holy Qur’an.
As long as the One and Only Mother of all True Believers (Omm al-Mominin) was alive, the Prophet did not take another spouse during over 25 years of marital bliss. He continued to cherish her memory throughout his life, despite taking several wives out of social necessity in the last ten years of life, as none of these 9 women was equal to the Immaculate Khadija – the Lady whom God greeted and ensured her place in Paradise.    
Sunday was also a very auspicious day. It was the 9th of Rabi al-Awwal, the Eid of the True Believers, since it marked the start of the imamate of the Lord of the Age, the Prophet’s 12th and Last Infallible Heir, Imam Mahdi (AS), who is currently in the state of occultation by the Will of God, and will reappear to establish the global government of peace, prosperity and justice, with Prophet Jesus (AS) serving as his lieutenant.
So friends, before bidding goodbye, we also extend our felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on start of the Islamic Unity Week from today, the 12th of Rabi al-Awwal, on the threshold of the blessed birthday of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA), since our Sunni brethren consider this date as the birth anniversary of the Seal of Messenger, while we prefer the family accounts of the Ahl al-Bayt to be more reliable, and consider the 17th to be actual birth anniversary of the Prophet of Peace.
