‘Every Artwork Is a Story’ Brings 72 Artists, 102 Works to Tehran
TEHRAN -- An exhibition bringing together 102 works by 72 artists opened at Tehran’s Malek al-Shoara-ye Bahar Gallery on Friday, offering a broad survey of contemporary visual expression through painting, form and image.
Titled “Every Artwork Is a Story,” the group exhibition is organized by Raha Art Gallery in cooperation with Qasr Museum Garden. Its central premise is that every artwork carries a distinct narrative shaped by an artist’s worldview, lived experience and emotions.
The exhibition brings together artists working across different fields of visual art, presenting a range of individual approaches and artistic languages. Placed alongside one another, the works create a varied portrait of contemporary artistic practice, emphasizing the different ways artists translate personal experience and ideas into visual form.
According to the organizers, the concept behind the exhibition invites viewers to look beyond the immediate surface of an artwork and explore the layers of image, form and thought embedded within it.
The exhibition is artistically directed by Faranak Muhammadi, director of Raha Art Gallery. The event reflects the gallery’s effort to bring together diverse artistic perspectives within a single exhibition while creating an opportunity for audiences to encounter a wide range of contemporary visual practices.
“Every Artwork Is a Story” will run from August 22 to August 29, 2026, and will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Malek al-Shoara-ye Bahar Gallery in Tehran’s Qasr Museum Garden.
