PMU Warns Against Treason

The authorities in Iraq are wise and sensible persons. They are diplomats dedicated to the welfare of the country and safeguarding of its independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
They know that the US is a destabilizing factor in Iraq and are also very well aware that the real guardians of the Land of the Two Rivers are the Hashd ash-Sha’bi or the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU).
In view of these facts, those in Baghdad trying to be in the good books of the US are making a major mistake, or taking a suicidal step, if they harass the read defenders of Iraq.
To be more precise, it is treason to call for the disarmament of the PMU, in the same manner that it is an act of treachery of the cabinet in Beirut that under pressure from the US and the illegal Zionist entity, is trying in vain to disarm Lebanon’s legendry anti-terrorist movement, the Hezbollah.
Those erring officials in Baghdad ought to correct their behaviour and apologize to the PMU leaders for following orders from Washington to harass them, and even imprison them.
This is what Kataib Hezbollah official Abu Mujahid al-Assaf means when he issued a warning to the erring officials in Baghdad on Tuesday, demanding halt of the US-endorsed crackdown on the Iraqi resistance.
The crackdown has involved the arrest of senior figures recently, including Abbas Hussein al-Yaqoubi, a senior official in the Al-Nujaba Movement and an intelligence official in the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU).
Assaf was blunt when he said without mincing words: “Our patience is running out over the prime minister’s provocative and irresponsible actions.”
The PMU that was formed in 2014 on the orders of the senior most religious authorities in Holy Najaf, saved Iraq from the onslaught of the takfiri terrorists backed by the US and the illegal Zionist entity.
The Iraqi resistance is powerful, and will not tolerate American meddling in the country\s affairs. It demands the full withdrawal of all US forces and not any partial or cosmetic measure by Washington.
Therefore, it is advisable for the government in Baghdad to dismiss the erring officials and those trying to sell their homeland to the wanted terrorist Donald Trump, who deserved nothing short of execution for assassinating Iraq’s Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, along with Iran’s famous general Qasim Soleimani in January 2020.
