WASHINGTON (Dispatches) - The U.S. has been ravaged by three separate mass shootings this weekend that have ripped through the country in Kentucky, Michigan and Virgina State University.
 At least one person was killed and four others injured in a shooting at a park in Lexington, Kentucky, U.S. This is the third mass shooting in the U.S. in just 24 hours.
Lexington Police Chief Lawrence Weathers said the shooting occurred around 6:45 p.m. local time on August 15 (5:45 a.m. on August 16 in Vietnam) at Charles Young Park in downtown Lexington. Those injured, including a 4-year-old child and a 14-year-old teenager, were taken to the hospital.
The Charles Young Park shooting followed three other shootings reported in Michigan, Virginia and Chicago on Saturday. 
A large police presence remains in downtown Lexington, while several roads around the scene are closed.
Authorities have not released any information about the suspect, and no arrests have been made. The cause of the shooting is under investigation.
The incident caused panic among parkgoers, who fled for shelter. A video posted on social media shows at least 13 gunshots.
According to local media, the incident occurred while the park was hosting an outdoor concert.
The incident occurred amidst a series of serious shootings recorded in multiple locations across the United States within just 24 hours.
Earlier, a shooting occurred in Chicago, Illinois, on the evening of August 15th, leaving four people injured, two of whom are in critical condition.
On the same day, a shooting at Virginia State University injured five people, including one student. Earlier, on August 14, a mass shooting in Michigan killed three people, including a 16-year-old teenager.
Police said the suspect, Chad Hickman, is also believed to have killed two other people in the area. The suspect then committed suicide with a gun.
