Call Issued for Iran’s 19th National Youth Music Festival

TEHRAN -- The call for the 19th National Youth Music Festival, led by festival secretary Hamidreza Ardalan, has been announced, inviting young musicians to participate in the country’s major competition for emerging musical talent.
Organized by the Iranian Music Association, the festival will be held in four main categories — Dastgah Music, Regional Music, Western Classical Music and Composition — along with a special section dedicated to the Recognition and Preservation of Radif.
The festival is designed for three age groups: Group A for participants aged 15 to 18, Group B for those aged 19 to 23, and Group C for participants aged 24 to 29. Applicants under the age of 15 may also submit their works for consideration in Group A if they have the necessary preparation and interest.
Participants can register and submit video recordings of their performances based on the required repertoire for each category through the Bamak online system by October 7, 2026. (15 Mehr 1405).
After the submitted works are reviewed and evaluated, selected participants will be invited by the judging panels to take part in the final stage of the festival.
The 19th National Youth Music Festival will be organized by the Iranian Music Association with the participation of leading Iranian music masters and the support of the Office of Music Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
