Rahman Amouzad Wins Gold at Ulaanbaatar Open
TEHRAN - Iranian freestyle wrestler Rahman Amouzad on Sunday won a gold medal at the Ulaanbaatar Open Ranking Series 2026
in the 65 kg weight category, Rahman Amuzad, after a break in the first round, defeated Wang Jin Kim of North Korea 5-0 in the second round and advanced to the semifinals. He defeated Adlan Askerov of Kazakhstan 12-1 and advanced to the finals. Amuzad won the gold medal in the final by 17-10 against Shamil Mammadov of Bulgaria.
Also, in the 61 kg weight category, Ahura Khateri, after a break in the first round, lost to Ait Jan of Kazakhstan 4-2 in the second round and, given his opponent’s presence in the final, went to the classification match. In this match, he won against Batnasan Gankhoyag of Mongolia 7-0 and won the bronze medal.
The World Ranking Series events are the main International Tournaments supervised by United World Wrestling. These events are fully integrated into the Ranking System.
These events provide points to each athlete in order to establish the World Ranking at the end of the year. 4 World Ranking Series events are organized every year (except the Olympic year where only 2 World Ranking Series are organized).
