Women Volleyballers Fail to Beat Indonesia at Asian Cup
TEHRAN - The Iranian women’s national volleyball team lost 3-1 (25-15, 21-25, 25-21, 25-22) to Indonesia in its first match at the 2026 Asian Cup.
The Asian Women’s Volleyball Cup kicked off on Saturday in the Philippine city of Condon and featuring with 12 teams for 9 days.
The Iranian women’s national volleyball team faced Indonesia in its first match in the competition and lost 3-1 to the team.
Lee Do-hee’s team won the second set 25-21, but lost the first, third and fourth sets to Indonesia with scores of 25-15, 25-21 and 25-22.
Shabnam Alikhani, Reyhaneh Karimi, Elahe Pour Saleh, Zahra Karimi, Fatemeh Khalili, Masoumeh Ghadami and Seyde Negar Hashemi were the starting lineup of the Iranian team in this match.
Spinoud Dast Barjan, Zahra Salehi, Hasti Vahedi, Negar Abbasi, Aida Valinejad, Yasna Ahankoob and Shaghayegh Hassankhani were featured the Iranian team in the match.
