Iraq Screens 3D Animation by Iran’s Mohammadian
BAGHDAD (Press TV) - Iraq’s National Theater has screened Roman Princess, a 3D animation directed by Iranian filmmaker Hadi Mohammadian.
‘The Roman Princess’ was screened in Arabic and warmly welcomed by Iraqi families, especially children in the capital Baghdad.
The award-winning production narrates the story of a Christian princess and the granddaughter of a great Roman Caesar, who became the mother of the twelfth and last Shia Imam, Imam Mahdi (PBUH).
Mohammadian’s animation has also been released in Lebanon and some other Middle Eastern countries.
Nearly 100 experts in various fields have contributed to the production of ‘Roman Princess,’ including producer Hamid Jafari and music composer Aria Aziminejad.
‘The Roman Princess’ had its premiere at the 33rd edition of Iran’s Fajr International Film festival.
Iran started the art of animation, as practiced in modern day, in the 1950s. Over the last few decades Iranian animation has won international reputation.
