Iran Take Volleyball, Table Tennis Golds to Lift Tally to 10

TEHRAN - Iran’s men’s volleyball team defeated Turkey 3–1 on Thursday to claim the gold medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, securing the country’s tenth gold of the competition.
The Iranian side won with set scores of 25–20, 25–20, 17–25 and 25–17, marking their sixth consecutive victory in the tournament and fifth straight championship title at the Games.
The Iranian players dedicated their gold to their late teammate Saber Kazemi after the final.
Earlier in the day, Bahrain defeated Qatar 3-1 to win a bronze medal.
Iran had once defeated Turkey 3-1 in the preliminary round.

Women’s Table 
Tennis Doubles 
Claim Gold
Earlier on Thursday, Iran’s women’s doubles table tennis team of Neda Shahsavari and Shima Safaei captured the gold medal after defeating Turkey 3–1 in the final.
Later in the evening, Shahsavari earned another gold by overcoming Syria’s Hend Zaza 4–2 (7–11, 10–12, 11–9, 11–9, 11–8, 13–11) in the women’s singles final. Shahsavari had previously won silver at the last edition of the Games in Konya.
The victories brought Iran’s gold medal count to ten at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games, organized by the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF) to promote unity and friendship among Muslim-majority nations.
The Riyadh edition features thousands of athletes from more than 50 countries competing across over 20 sports disciplines.
The event has brought together more than 3,000 athletes from 57 nations, competing across 25 sports in pursuit of glory at one of the Islamic world’s premier multi-sport events.
Golshadnezhad Earns Gold 

Atousa Golshadnezhad of Iran claimed a gold medal in karate at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG).
She defeated Wafa Mahjoub of Turkey 7-4 in the women’s -61kg final.
Cameroon’s Dzeu Youmbi Nelly defeated Sudan’s Ramatoulaye Sylla 6-4 in the bronze medal match.
 Morteza Nemati Seizes Silver in Karate
-Iran’s Morteza Nemati seized a silver medal in karate at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) on Wednesday.
Nemati was defeated by Kuwaiti athlete Omar Aljenaei in the final of the men’s -75kg.

Fereshteh 
Hassanzadeh Wins Silver 

-Iran’s Fereshteh Hassanzadeh won a silver medal in the final of the Muay Thai competition of the Islamic Solidarity Games on Friday.
in 50-45 kg weight category, Fereshteh Hassanzadeh and ended her career by winning a silver medal.
In the final match of the 50-45 kg weight category, Hassanzadeh faced Akhlaf from Morocco, lost 10-9 to the Moroccan fighter.

Women Volleyballers Bag Bronze

– Iran’s women’s volleyball team claimed a bronze medal at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) on Thursday.
Team Melli Banovan defeated Tajikistan 3-0 (25-2, 25-7, 25-8) in the third-place match.
Turkey and the Republic of Azerbaijan will meet each other in the final.
Double Table Tennis Bags Bronze
– Iran’s Benyamin Faraji and Amir Hossein Hodaei won a bronze medal in the men’s doubles table tennis of the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) on Wednesday.
The Iranian team lost to Turkey’s Abdullah Talha Yigenler and Ibrahim Gunduz 3-1 in the semifinals.

Women Handball Falls Short to Turkey
– The national women’s handball team of Iran was defeated against Turkey 36-28 at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) on Thursday.
Team Melli is scheduled to play Guinea and the Maldives on Saturday and Monday in Group A, respectively.
Azerbaijan Republic, Uzbekistan and 
Kazakhstan are in Group B.
The 6th Islamic Solidarity Games, known as Riyadh 2025, are an upcoming inter-continental multi-sport event organized by the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA), and will be held from November 7 to 21, 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The event has brought together more than 3,000 athletes from 57 nations, competing across 25 sports in pursuit of glory at one of the Islamic world’s premier multi-sport events.
