Double Rowing Team Bags Medals at Asian Youth Championship

TEHRAN – Iran’s rowing athletes on Saturday clinched 3 gold, silver and bronze medals in the Asian Youth and Under-23 Rowing Championship in Shenyang, China.
Abolfazal Satoti and Amirreza Abdoli competed in the men’s under-23 heavyweight double rowing final, competing against opponents from Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Hong Kong and Kazakhstan, and won the bronze medal with a time of 6:31.05 minutes. The representatives of Vietnam and Uzbekistan came first and second in this event.
Soha Fakhri also won the gold medal in the women’s junior single final, competing against opponents from Kazakhstan, Japan, China, Hong Kong and Kuwait, with a time of 7:45.20 minutes. In this event, representatives from China and Kazakhstan came first and second.
Also, Saqi Maleki and Mahna Hajhusseini competed in the women’s under-23 heavyweight double rowing event, competing against competitors from Vietnam, Indonesia, and Chinese Taipei, and won the silver medal with a time of 7:14.30 minutes. In this event, the representative from Vietnam came first and Indonesia came third.
Behrad Legarinejad won the fifth place in the youth men’s singles final, competing against competitors from Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, Uzbekistan, China, and Korea, with a time of 7:10.34 minutes. In this competition, the representatives from Uzbekistan, Korea, and Chinese Taipei came first to third, respectively.
