TEHRAN – Tractor, the winner of Persian Gulf Pro League (PGPL) defeated Esteghal, the winner of the Hazfi Cup 2-1 to clinch title of Iranian Super Cup.
The first half of the match between Esteghlal and Tractor in the Iranian Football Super Cup ended with the capital’s blue-clad team winning 1-0. 
Esteghal took the lead with a header from Rouzbeh Cheshmi in the minute of 12th.
In the 81st minute, the ball hit Saman Fallah’s hands in the Tractor penalty area, causing the referee to review the scene using the Video Assistant Referee (VAR). After reviewing the images, the referee recognized the foul and announced a penalty for Tractor. 
Tractor’s Amirhussein Husseinzadeh leveled the match by a late goal in 86th minute while Tomislav Strkalj scored the winner in the first minute of added time.
