TEHRAN -- The “Land of Kindness” exhibition, featuring a distinguished collection of iconic Iranian historical artifacts, has arrived at the Nanjing Museum—one of China’s most prestigious cultural institutions—following successful presentations in Chengdu and Guangzhou. The exhibition will remain open until late November 2025.
Organized by the University of Tehran in collaboration with renowned Iranian museums including the Reza Abbasi Museum, Moghaddam Museum of the University of Tehran, Abgineh Museum, Carpet Museum, and National Museum of Iran, the exhibition showcases 151 remarkable pieces spanning diverse periods of Iran’s rich history.
The collection encompasses metalwork, ceramics, glassware, textiles, carpets, and paintings, offering a broad panorama of Iran’s millennia-old civilization.
Majid Montazer Zohouri, Cultural Spaces and Museums Advisor at the University of Tehran’s Cultural and Social Deputy, emphasized the exhibition’s role in strengthening the historic cultural, economic, and political ties between Iran and China.
He noted, “This exhibition not only introduces the ancient heritage of Iran to Chinese audiences in a profound and novel way but also serves as a bridge to deepen mutual understanding of the cultural roots shared by our two nations.”
Montazer Zohouri added, “The selected artifacts, adorned with rich and recurring motifs, carry timeless messages of kindness, friendship, covenant, and loyalty—values deeply embedded in Iranian culture that testify to the enduring spirit of our civilization.”
The “Land of Kindness” exhibition is arranged chronologically, guiding visitors through a cultural journey from the second millennium BCE to the Qajar era. This narrative reveals the continuous and evolving legacy of Iranian art and culture, underscoring Iran’s vital place within global heritage.
