Volleyballers Continue on a Roll, Beat Netherland in VNL

TEHRAN - Iran outplayed the Netherland 3-2 in Sunday’s men’s Volleyball Nations League 2025 in Belgrade, Serbia.
Returning to the court one day after they lost to Germany, the Persians secured a 3-2 (25-19, 22-25, 21-25, 25-19, 15-9) thrilling victory over the Europeans in the Serbian capital.
The Dutch had a solid offensive performance against Iranians.
Amin Esmaeilnezhad produced 21 points for Iran, while Michiel Ahyi registered 22 points for the Dutch side.
Iran, who had defeated Serbia and Argentina in their first two matches. 
On Saturday, they lost to Germany 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 26-24, 25-22) in the event.
Amir Hussein Esfandiar led Iran with 19 points, while Filip John scored 22 points for Germany.
The 2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League is the seventh edition of the FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League, an annual men’s international volleyball tournament.
It is being held from June 11 to August 3, 2025, with the final round to take place at the Beilun Gymnasium in Ningbo, China.
