Romanian Airline Extends Flight Suspension to Tel Aviv, Beirut, Amman
BUCHAREST (Dispatches) –
Romanian national airline TAROM announced on Monday the extension of its commercial flight suspension to and from Tel Aviv (TLV), Beirut (BEY), and Amman (AMM), citing ongoing regional instability.
Flights to Tel Aviv remain suspended through June 23, while return flights won’t resume until June 24. Services to Beirut and Amman are suspended until June 20.
The move follows the closure of Israeli airspace due to a heightened threat of aerial attacks.
TAROM stated that it is closely monitoring the situation with international authorities and local partners. Passengers with bookings made before June 13 for departures up to June 16 are eligible to cancel and convert their tickets into future travel vouchers, the company said.
Meanwhile, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged citizens in the Israeli-occupied territories to follow safety instructions, seek shelter during air raid alerts, and notify Romanian diplomatic missions of their location.
Consular support is available via the Romanian Embassy in Tel Aviv and the Consulate General in Haifa.
