SANA’A (Dispatches) – Yemen’s Armed Forces have launched a hypersonic ballistic missile attack against Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv in response to the Israeli regime’s latest aggression on the Lebanese capital of Beirut.
Yahya Saree, the Yemeni army spokesman, said in a statement that the anti-Israel operation, conducted with a Palestine 2 hypersonic ballistic missile, was in support of Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip and “in response to its aggression against the southern suburbs of Beirut.”
“The missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a military operation targeting Lod Airport in the occupied area of Yaffa using a Palestine 2 hypersonic ballistic missile,” Saree said.
“The operation successfully achieved its goal, thanks to Allah, forcing millions of occupying Zionists to flee to shelters and halting air traffic at the airport.”
The spokesman underlined that the Yemeni Armed Forces saluted “all the steadfast, loyal, and sincere resistance fighters in proud, glorious, and dignified Gaza, and throughout Palestine—the frontline defenders of the entire Islamic nation.”
The statement reaffirmed the Yemeni people’s and their Armed Forces’ unwavering stance alongside the Palestinian people and their resistance “until the aggression stops and the siege is lifted.”
Thursday’s ballistic missile attack marks the first time Yemen announced it had operated against the Israeli-occupied territories in response to the regime’s onslaught on Lebanese soil.
The Israeli occupation carried out eight airstrikes targeting residential buildings in Beirut’s southern suburb on Thursday, with Israeli Channel 14 saying the attack was in coordination with the United States. 
Nasr al-Din Amer, a senior official with Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, confirmed the attack on the Israeli airport and voiced Sana’a’s unrelenting support for Beirut and Gaza.
“We will neither accept nor permit the policy of unchecked aggression that the Zionist enemy, with American support, is trying to establish in the region. We will face it with our faith and reliance on Allah,” said Amer, deputy head of Ansarullah’s Media Authority.
“Beirut and Lebanon are part of this nation, and God willing, we will not abandon them, just as we have not and will not abandon Gaza, al-Quds, and all of Palestine, as well as all other Arab and Islamic lands.”
The Zionist regime’s military claimed that a long-range ballistic missile launched from Yemen had been intercepted by the regime’s air defenses.
The military conceded that sirens had sounded in the occupied Al-Quds, southern West Bank settlements, and some areas of central and southern parts of the Israeli-occupied territories.
Since March 18, when the Zionist regime resumed its aggression against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the Yemeni army has launched 46 ballistic missiles and at least 11 drones at Israel.
