Yemen Targets Tel Aviv With Two Ballistic Missiles

SANAA (Dispatches) – Yemeni armed forces on Tuesday launched two ballistic missiles at Israeli targets inside the occupied territories, in what has recently become an almost daily occurrence.
The first missile set off sirens shortly after 5 a.m. in several northern West Bank and Jordan Valley settlements, sending thousands to bomb shelters.
Preceding the sirens by about four minutes, an early warning was issued to residents, alerting them of the long-range missile attack via a push notification on their phones.
The second missile was launched at around 7:30 a.m. The missiles were the fourth and fifth Yemeni operations against Israeli targets in five days.
Military spokesman Yahya Saree said Yemeni forces had carried out a strike on Ben Gurion airport near Tel Aviv, using a homegrown Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile.
They also hit a strategic position east of Tel Aviv with a domestically-developed Zulfiqar ballistic missile.
Zulfiqar is a highly-maneuverable radar-evading surface-to-surface missile, and has a range of more than 2,000 kilometers.
Saree said the operations attained their desired objectives, sending millions of illegal settlers to shelters, and bringing air traffic at Ben Gurion airport to a halt.
Earlier this month, a Yemeni missile slipped through air defenses and hit the grounds of Ben Gurion Airport, injuring six people.
A slew of international carriers promptly halted services to the Israeli occupied territories.
Yemeni forces began targeting Israeli occupied settlements and general maritime traffic linked to the occupying regime in November 2023, a month after the October invasion of the Gaza Strip by Israel.
They held their fire when a ceasefire was reached between Israel and Hamas in January 2025.

By that point, they had fired over 40 ballistic missiles and dozens of attack drones and cruise missiles at Israeli targets.
Since March 18, when Israel resumed its onslaught on the Gaza Strip, Yemen’s forces have launched 41 ballistic missiles and at least 10 drones at Israeli targets.
Saree emphasized Tuesday that Yemeni forces will continue to target Israeli occupied territories until the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip ends and the tight blockade on the besieged territory is completely lifted.
