Armed Forces: IRGC Vanquishes Any Enemy at Any Level
TEHRAN – The General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic has reaffirmed the unwavering and superior strength and resilience of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in defending the country’s territory and people.
In a statement marking the 46th anniversary of the Corps’ establishment, the General Staff also emphasized the force’s dedication, courage, and ability to confront any threat, regardless of adversaries’ strength.
“The IRGC brings any enemy to their knees, regardless of their power,” the statement declared.
The General Staff emphasized the IRGC’s role in countering foreign and domestic threats, notably its confrontations with criminal groups, Takfiri terrorists, and hostile state actors, including the United States and the Zionist regime.
It highlighted the success of the force’s operations such as True Promise I and II in 2024 that saw it successfully strike sensitive and strategic Israeli targets with hundreds of ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles in retaliation for Tel Aviv’s acts of aggression against Iranian soil.
The statement, meanwhile, noted that the Corps was established by Imam Khomeini, who led the country’s 1979 Islamic Revolution against the U.S.-backed monarchical regime of the time to victory before founding the Islamic Republic.
The force, therefore, emerged from the heart of the Revolution, and is entrusted with safeguarding the ideals of the Islamic Republic, it read.
Over the decades that followed, the IRGC worked hand-in-hand with the Armed Forces and the country’s Basij volunteer force to safeguard Iran’s security and sovereignty, said the General Staff.
Furthermore, the statement stressed that the IRGC, thanks to the insightful directives of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, continued to enhance Iran’s defensive and deterrent capabilities, ensuring security of the country and its people.
The Corps’ endeavors, it added, extended far beyond defense, encompassing contribution to such imperatives as “societal welfare, economic development, and national self-sufficiency.”
Its efforts address various other pressing matters, including construction and poverty alleviation, the General Staff said, adding that the Corps had been instrumental in major infrastructure projects.
