TEHRAN -- Iran will send two contestants to the 13th edition of Libya’s international Holy Qur’an competition.
The competition is held in three categories, namely memorization of the entire Qur’an, memorization of the entire Qur’an along with mastery in the ten styles of recitation and memorization of the entire Qur’an along with Tafseer (exegesis).
Mojtaba Alirezalou and Muhammad Javad Delfani will represent Iran in the first and second category, respectively.
The two Qur’an memorizers have been introduced as Iran’s representatives by the Committee for Inviting and Dispatching Qur’an Reciters and Memorizers.
Libya’s 13th international Qur’an contest will be organized in two stages, with the preliminary round slated to be held later this month virtually.
The finals will take place in the North African country in the lunar Hijri month of Muharram (June-July).
