PMU, the Backbone of Iraq’s Defence

The disinformation dished out by divisive news sources on the alleged disarming of Iraq’s Hashd ash-Sha’bi or Popular Mobilisation Units (PMU) has been dismissed thanks to a decisive decision by the defenders of Iraq themselves.
“A state that disarms itself in exchange for the lie of living in peace, as the devil of the age [the US regime] wants, should prepare for the howls of humiliation and the pain of losing dignity and land. Without the weapons of the Popular Mobilization Units, there will be no defence for Iraq.”
The above is indeed a fitting reply to silence the criminal US, the illegal Zionist entity, reactionary Arab states, remnants of the Daesh terrorists, and weaklings amongst the political and religious figures in Iraq who fear Uncle Sam’s threats more than Divine Wrath, which will strike all those who bow to the pressures of the hegemons.
The statement reaffirming the PMU resolve to stay armed and to increase their military arsenal for the defence of the motherland and the dignity of the Iraqi people, was released recently by a member of parliament of Iraq.
Alaa al-Haidari, affiliated to the “the Sadeqoun bloc”, the political wing of Asaib Ahl al-Haq, one of the most prominent Iraqi groups composed of pious and patriotic peoples, asserted that the PMU’s weapons are the strength and “sword” of Iraq.
He made it clear that disarming these committed nationalist factions would remove the backbone of the government.
A similar statement released a day later on April 8 by another prominent PMU faction, the Kata’ib Hezbollah and distributed to local and regional media, also rejected reports of disarmament by western news agencies.
The group dismissed as “lie and slander”, the western media report that cited a so-called unnamed Kata’ib Hezbollah commander,’ pointing out that this has no connection to PMU principles or positions.
It should be noted the PMU which was formed in 2014 to salvage Iraq from Daesh’s US-Israeli-backed bid to turn the country into ‘takfiristan’, was formed on the orders of holy Najaf’s senior-most religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Sistani.
Thanks to the advisors rushed by the Islamic Republic of Iran as well as modern weaponry, the PMU routed the Daesh terrorists and flushed them out of Iraq despite the US dropping of crates of armaments to the rebels on the pretext of air sorties that actually targeted the Hashd ash-Sha’bi fighters.
Today, the PMU is standing firmly beside the Palestinian people with the resolve to target the illegal Zionist entity whenever necessary, and will indeed confront all enemies of Iraq, including the 2000-odd American occupation forces who have not exited in spite of the unanimous verdict of the Iraqi parliament for their withdrawal.
In short, PMU is determined to spare no efforts for the stability and independence of Iraq, as well as fighting terrorism and the terrorists throughout the region in whatever form, including the Zionists and the Americans.
