TEHRAN -- An Iranian knowledge-based company has indigenized a high-quality artificial intelligence engine in Persian language that offers all the services provided by platforms like ChatGPT to Iranian users.
The engine is designed in two versions; a professional version for organizations and businesses; and a demo version for the public use, ANA reported.
It enjoys some competitive advantages, including focus on Persian language due to the Persian database and optimization of algorithms which has improved its performance in language processing.
Its other advantage is its security given due to no transfer of user data abroad which creates high confidence for organizations and businesses.
Efficiency with less investment is another advantage of the Iranian AI engine where despite lower development costs, it has outperformed foreign competitors in some areas.
The company has held negotiations with companies in countries like Iraq and Lebanon to offer the platform’s services to the regional markets.
In February, Iranian Vice-President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy Hussein Afshin said the AI has been developed in Iran since 2010. 
First introduced in self-driving cars, medical guidance systems and traffic management, the technology has passed the theoretical stage and entered industrial and operational applications, Afshin said.
“There was a time when only theoretical discussions were raised about artificial intelligence, but today the country is facing a new generation of operational projects in the fields of oil, health, smart cities and industry,” he said.
