Ramadhan: The Month of Blessings
Salaam dear young friends, I hope you are doing well by the Grace of the Almighty Lord.
As you all know, the blessed month of Ramadhan has begun and today is the fourth day of this month.
Ramadhan is a very special month for Muslims all over the world. It is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is considered the holiest month. The beginning of Ramadhan is determined by the sighting of the new moon. When the thin crescent appears in the sky, everyone knows that Ramadhan has begun.
Before Ramadhan begins, families prepare by planning meals, decorating their homes and setting goals for worship and good deeds. People look forward to this month because it is a time of reflection, prayer and kindness.
On the first day of Ramadhan, we get up early before dawn to eat a meal called Suhoor. This meal gives us energy for the day ahead. When the sun rises, the fast begins and we do not eat or drink anything until sunset.
Fasting is not just about food - it is also about being kind, avoiding bad habits and concentrating on prayers. Many children, especially younger ones, may try fasting for a few hours to experience the spirit of Ramadhan.
The start of Ramadhan brings excitement and joy. People greet each other with Ramadhan Mubarak, which means “Blessed Ramadhan”. It is a time to strengthen your faith, help others and become a better person.
As Ramadhan begins, Muslims feel happy and grateful for this special opportunity to grow closer to Allah. The first few days are a time of adjustment, but soon the spirit of Ramadhan fills their hearts with peace and happiness.
Fasting during this blessed month helps us learn patience, self-control and gratitude. By fasting, they feel the struggles of those who do not have enough to eat. This teaches kindness and encourages people to help the poor and needy.
Ramadhan teaches important values such as patience, kindness and gratitude. It reminds us to be thankful for our blessings and to help those in need. It is a month of reflection, self-improvement and drawing closer to Allah.
Ramadhan is not just about fasting; it is a time to become a better person. Whether you are fasting or not, you can still take part by being kind, helpful and spreading happiness around you!
Goodbye and God bless you all until our next meeting next Wednesday.
