TEHRAN -- The pre-production of the historical TV series ‘Pouria-ye Vali’ was officially announced during a meeting between the head of Simafilm Center Mehdi Naqavian and director-writer Masoud Jafari-Jozani.
The meeting focused on project details and ongoing preparations.
Naqavian and his deputy visited the production office to oversee the initial planning.
Jafari-Jozani provided updates on the script revisions and logistical arrangements.
Produced by Amir-Hussein Ashtianipour, the series follows the life of Pouria-ye Vali, one of Iran’s most legendary wrestlers, who later embraced Sufism and philosophy.
Filming is expected to begin in Tehran by late 2025.
The upcoming TV series ‘Sepanta’ is to depict the story of an Iranian man’s fight against the Ba’ath regime and ISIS, showing his battles against extremist forces.
Produced under the Simafilm Center, the series is currently in pre-production phase.
Written and produced by Fayyaz Houshyar Parsian, ‘Sepanta’ is among the latest historical dramas in development.
Another historical drama, ‘Two Halves of the Moon’, will tell the emotional story of a brother and sister whose parents were killed by the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO).
The series, currently in production phase, is written and directed by Davoud Bidel and produced by Hussein Fallah and Amir-Abbas Majzoubi.
With its gripping storyline rooted in the history of the Iranian Revolution, ‘Two Halves of the Moon’ sheds light on a painful yet significant chapter in the country’s past.
