TEHRAN – Iran have defeated Uzbekistan 9-0 in its opening match of the 2025 CAFA Women’s Futsal Championship.
Maral Torkman (two goals), Fatemeh Husseini (two goals), Elham Anafcheh, Nasimeh Gholami, Zahra Kiani and Roghayeh Soume’eh wer on target for Iran.
Team Melli will also play Kyrgyzstan on February 12, Turkmenistan on February 14, and Tajikistan on February 16.
Iran, the three-time defending champion, has won every previous edition of the tournament.
The tournament, organized by the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA), is being held in Dushanbe for the third time on February 9-16.
