BRASILIA (Dispatches) – The Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF), a pro-Palestine advocacy organization, has filed a lawsuit in Argentina against an Israeli soldier accused of committing war crimes in Gaza who fled Brazil after a case was brought against him there.
Reports said that Yuval Vagdani, a reservist who was vacationing in Brazil, managed to leave the Latin American country, despite a court order.
The Zionist regime’s foreign ministry has admitted that the regime’s embassy in Brazil orchestrated “his swift and safe departure from Brazil.”
“After Yuval Vagdani’s escape from Brazil to Argentina, the Hind Rajab Foundation has filed a legal case in Argentina against the war crimes suspect,” the group said in a post on social media platform X on Tuesday.
“This move reinforces our commitment to ending impunity and holding perpetrators accountable,” it added.
“Justice will prevail, no matter where they hide.”
Last week, a Brazilian judge ordered police to investigate the soldier, accusing him of “participating in massive demolitions of civilian homes in Gaza during a systematic campaign of destruction.”
The case is the latest in a series of lawsuits brought by the HRF, which has been pursuing justice for the Palestinian victims of the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
The group has filed several complaints in various countries against Israeli forces who participated in the genocidal war on Gaza. It also filed a complaint with the International Criminal Court (ICC) against 1,000 Zionist troops.
The foundation is named after Hind Rajab, a symbol of Gaza’s suffering.
On January 29, Hind had been traveling in a car with her uncle, his wife and their three children, fleeing fighting in the neighborhood of Tel al-Hawa in Gaza City, when they came under Israeli fire.
Trapped in the bullet-ridden vehicle and surrounded by her dead relatives, Hind begged for help from the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS).
Two first responders, Yousef Zeino and Ahmed al-Madhoun, were deployed in a bid to save Hind, but PRCS soon lost contact with them, along with the little girl.
On February 10, the bodies of Hind and her relatives were found lying in the car. Just meters away, a burned-out ambulance was found with the remains of the two paramedics who tried to save the girl.
