Minister Discusses Educational Cooperation With Turkish, Tajik Envoys

TEHRAN -- Iran’s Education Minister Alireza Kazemi has held separate meetings with the ambassadors of Tajikistan and Turkey to discuss educational challenges and ways to improve cultural bonds with the two countries. 
In his meeting with Tajikistan’s Ambassador Nizamuddin Zahedi, the minister said the most important common ground between the two countries is the Persian language, while cultural, historical and traditional bonds tie them together.
Kazemi called for the formation of a joint committee to quickly resolve the problem related to the opening of Rudaki School in Tajikistan through understanding and cooperation.
He said Iran provides educational services to all Tajik students living in Iran.
Zahedi touched on the legal issues relatd to the Rudaki School built jointly with Iran, saying the project is facing challenges in the three areas of ownership, textbook content, and management, which will be resolved and the school be opened as soon as possible.
Kazemi also met Turkish Ambassador Hicabi Kirlangic and discussed a number of issues, including problems faced by Iranian students and teachers living in Turkey. 
He said the same services for Iranian students are also provided to Turkish students in Iran, adding the Islamic Republic also tries to resolve any problems faced by Turkish teachers living in Iran.
Kirlangic, for his part, hailed closer ties between the two and expressed his satisfaction with the operation of a Turkish school in Iran. “We are very pleased that a Turkish school is active and operating in Iran.”
